Calibre-Web

A web library for ebooks — read in the browser and sync to your e-reader · https://eb.fmm.house

What it's for

Calibre-Web (Automated) is our ebook library on the web. Browse and search the collection, read books right in the browser, download them, or sync them straight to a Kobo, Kindle, or reading app. The "Automated" part means books dropped into the library's ingest folder are imported — and converted to a standard format — on their own, no manual Calibre desktop work needed.

Getting in

  • Open: https://eb.fmm.house — on the home Wi-Fi/LAN, or from anywhere with Tailscale connected.
  • Sign in: with your own Calibre-Web account. Ask the admin if you need one.

How to use it

  • The home page shows recent and featured books. Use the left sidebar to filter by authors, series, categories, languages, and ratings.
  • The search box finds books by title, author, or tag. Use Advanced Search for finer filters.

Read in the browser

  • Open a book and choose Read in browser to open the built-in e-reader — good for EPUB, PDF, comics, and more.
  • Adjust font size, theme, and margins in the reader; your place is remembered.

Download & send

  • On a book's page, click Download and pick a format (EPUB, PDF, etc.).
  • Send to Kindle: use the send-to-e-reader option to email a book to your Kindle's address (Amazon then delivers it to the device). Your Kindle email may need to be set in your account profile first.

Kobo sync

  • Kobo devices can sync directly with the library — no cable, no Calibre desktop.
  • On the Kobo, point its sync store at the library's Kobo URL (ask the admin for your personal sync link), then the device's Sync button pulls new books and pushes reading progress.

OPDS for reader apps

  • The library publishes an OPDS feed for apps like KOReader, Marvin, or Moon+ Reader.
  • In the app, add an OPDS catalog pointing at https://eb.fmm.house/opds and sign in with your account — then browse and download books from inside the app.

Tips

Tip

To add a book, just drop the file into the library's ingest folder — the Automated setup imports and converts it for you. Ask the admin where that folder lives.

  • Reaching the library (including Kobo sync and OPDS) needs the LAN or Tailscale — it isn't on the public internet.
  • If Send-to-Kindle doesn't arrive, confirm your device's send-to email is authorized on the Amazon side and set in your Calibre-Web profile.
